A Wonderful Story, a Wonderful Snack!
MEGA NUT SAC STORY
While shopping for a trail mix in 2019, I was frustrated by the lack of ingredients offered in each brand. This frustration led me to decide to create my own mix. The basics were easy to find. Fifteen ingredients were compiled, and a 10-pound batch was mixed and shared with friends and family. The response was positive and the dream to build a brand was born.
Life got in the way, so the idea was put on a shelf, for the "someday" to come. Then, on August 31, 2021, I found myself pondering with curiosity, "What day is today?" The day just happened to be National Trail Mix Day (established in 1968). Imagine the epiphany when I realized this!
From the shelf it was pulled, dusted off and revived. The 15 ingredients grew to 22, and a fresh batch was mixed. A grassroots campaign was launched as I shared samples and gathered feedback.
What happened next? Planets aligned, logo designed, sacks picked, the idea sticks.
The mission is as simple as the ingredients: To offer wholesome, delicious and nutritious blends of natural foods.
I was a sales manager for a snack food company in the 1990s. The mission of my employer was purely based on volume/numbers. The guilt that swelled inside of me was brought about by knowing the foods I was pushing were in a small but real way contributing to the nutritional deficiency of the public I was serving.
Upon departing the corporate world in 2003, I found comfort in knowing new freedoms and am delighted to search for redemption by bringing MEGA NUT SAC to YOU!!! Enjoy.
